Second meaning of the words

These words are simple and I am sure that you all know the meaning of these words.However,based on the usage, these words can have different meanings.In this post I would like to talk about the second meaning of the following words.I hope you already know the first meaning.

1. Trying: Trying times or trying situation means tough situation/ time.This time/situation are hard to endure
    Example : We have to maintain our composure even in trying times
2. Scholarship: Scholarship is a research activity.
     Example: Contemporary scholarships shows possibility of life on mars
3. Occupation: Occupation is the control of country by military force of other country
    Example : German occupation of France.
4. Affected : If somebody behavior is not natural, then we say the behavior is fabricated/affected behavior
5. Promising: Anything that shows the sign of success in future is called promising.
   
   For example, if  we get admission in Pennsylvania State University for MS in  Engineering, our future will be promising.After completing education,we are more likely to get good jobs
6. Arresting: Arresting is something that catches your eye
   For Example,  if you go to a party where there are lots of people and got attracted to a girl, then we can say  that the girl is arrestingly beautiful.The girl catches your eye although you have lots of people to look in the party
7. Provider: Provider is the people who supports the family
   Example: Typically, father is the provider in Nepalese society.
8. Involved: Anything that is complex is involved
   Example: As the business idea is involved, it is less likely to succeed.
9. Wanting:If you find something wanting, they are not of high standard as you think they should  be.
    Example: His report writing skill is wanting.He should improve in grammar and format.
10. Appropriate:  Appropriate is taking possession of something by force.
     For Example: During civil war, the rebellion appropriated the land and house the people.
                           During devastating earthquake, people appropriated the food stuffs of each other
